For door to door services what happens if the receiver is not home. Does the sender or receiver get penalized?

Does the receiving end know how much has been paid by me for the postage. I would like the amount to be kept silent?
The recipient is unaware of the price paid, 
 
I notice there is an option for either AM or PM pickup. However I am unavailable at these hours everyday 8:30am to 9:30am and 2:30pm to 3:30pm. Can this be catered for?

Do you have a quick calculator for determining postage. Such as something I may integrate onto my Website?
Yes our software is built to interact with online stores, Our software can sit between your products and the payment gateway and automatically add up the costs based on your rules/markup and carrier choice. We do not charge to use the software as our loading is included in the rates
